Design
Motion & Video are only as good as the design which accompanies them. At M80 we pride ourselves on our in-house design talent. This ensures that your creative work, whether moving or static, is consistently better than expected. Every scripted project, and most unscripted work goes through an art direction, moodboard, and storyboard phase.
Design and style go hand in hand. At M80, “style that wows” is the first pillar of our process. Without design, no one is wow’d. While the source of the idea could be a client, creative lead, editor, or random person off the street -> bringing the initial visual representation of that idea almost always lands in the hands of a designer. The role of the designer is paramount because it’s the first moment when idea becomes “real.” And when WOW design is brought to the table it not only excites the clients - it excites every other creative involved in the project. And that is when creative magic happens.
Whether the design work is for a standalone static project or servicing the motion design of a video or motion project, our work and process lives inside of Figma.
Figma allows for a collaborative workspace where designers can share ideas with each other and the rest of the team. This shortens the distance between idea, static representation, and in-motion execution
Feedback is left directly in Figma, and for large-scale projects where a wow style is top of mind - the whole team hangs out on Figma canvases.
Design is crucial to all parts of creative. At M80 we’re grateful to have talented in-house artists who can elevate all video and motion projects as well as craft bespoke design for event keynotes or other design needs. And if you’re nice to work with, we might even invite you to view things live inside of Figma ;)
